Seidl Super 100

Coincidentally this custom Super 100 looks a lot like the Super 100 from Dimitri that was on Rusty Gold this month but this one was build in Nürnberg, Germany by Seidl.

Hand build seat, rearlight, headlight bracket...
It has a adapted Honda C110 Topbridge with the C110 speedometer and a lot of other little details. The wiring is changed and the ignition lock is in the left side cover, the e- starter is removed to lighten the flywheel, 2.5 Frontwheel with Shinko SR 241 Tyres.

Tin Can Customs - BBQ

These are interesting times for the custom scene in Amsterdam.
Since we organized Rusty Gold last year a lot of cool stuff is happening in Amsterdam.
Numbnut Customs came out of nothing. They recently finished their first two bikes and organized the Numbnut Ride Out #1 the day before Rusty Gold 2013.
An other custom shop opened recently in Amsterdam. Tin Can Customs.
And an other new kid on the block is Cool Kid Custom, stationed at the overtoom in Amsterdam.

Rumors are Boy Janssens Pancake Customs will update his facebook page soon.
Dimitri from the Amsterdam based Super Motor Company is working on his 3rd  Super Custom, the Dirty Donkey
So yes! Seems like the custom scene in Amsterdam is finally taking off!

The night before Rusty Gold and just after the Numbnut Ride Out #1, Tin Can customs organized a BBQ. Lot's of dudes from the Chopperstyle.nl forum where there with their cool customs.

Tin Can was working on a very nice old skool cb750 chopper with an interesting kick stand :)At night we found out that shit happens when your riding on your friends cb750 chopper in the dark with your black bubble visor. It wasn't me :)
But a few beers later it was fixed.  
Roel Scheffers was present with his out of this world RS09 Beemer.
Lot's of nice people from chopperstyle.nl came to the bbq from all over the place.
I saw the coolest Goldwing sidecar.
You have to see the  radical XS650 with the build in flame thrower with your owne eyes!

Numbnut Motorcycles Ride out #1

The day before Rusty Gold 2013 Numbnut Motorcycles organized their first Ride-Out. 
They started from Westerpark and made a very nice trip along the Amstel with a wide variety of bikes. My Suzuki GR650 town smoker died on me a few hours before the trip so I made the trip on my trusty Super 100. It was great to meet a lot of new bikers from Amsterdam. Looking forward to Numbnuts next ride out! I will post the video soon.

Framer's Racer Packbag

Last October I featured Farmer's Racer SR500 and his backpack plans.

Now some months later the first Farmer's Racer Packbags are ready and
I'm one of the lucky ones to test it. Got it last week and have been using
the bag every day since.
I think I can fairly say that 95 out of 100 days I'm riding, walking or
travelling with a backpack. The cool thing about this Packbag is that it
comes with two leather loops to attach the bag to your bike.

Just look at the pictures and you can see this is made with the best materials
and with eye for detail.

The Farmer's Racer Packbag is hand crafted in Sweden. It comes in
orange and Green and is hand made from 18oz Scottish waxed canvas.
Originally made to match the needs of early 19th centuty sailors, this
fabric has become the first choise of many weather beaten designs.
Farmer’s racer has choosen a 18oz canvas, taylor made by Halley
Stevensons in Scotland. The cloth weights in at remarcable 875 grams
per square meter when waxed and delivered to Sweden.
A material favoured for it’s water resistance and durability.

Since I got the bag the weather here has been fine, no rain or heavy wind
so I still have to find out how it will endure in bad weather conditions but
it looks the part. The bag is tailored from a single peace of canvas, supported
by a sheat of rubber – recycled from old car tyres.The leather details, sturdy
lining and heavy waxed canvas adds up to a bag with high future mileage.

The lid is kept close by five Dot fasteners. A quality construction
that will close the fold top without loose straps in the wind. It needs some
getting use to but it works perfect.

The first days I only used it as a bag pack. The Packbag comes complete
with two leather loops to attach the bag to the bike. This morning I fitted the
bag to frame of GR650 but as you can see in the pictures I need to make a
construction to mount the bag higher on the side of the Bike. This way it's touching
the exhaust. On my super 100 it fit's perfectly on the standard handrail. But
that's because on the left side I'm missing the rear blinker. Also on the Super I
need to make a construction to mount the bag on the right spot.
